Full reviewEasy to check in and check out. The capsules are a lot harder to get onto, especially if you are staying in the upper bunk as the capsules do not look like the pictures. The stairs are like “shelves” which is significantly harder to climb. The other residents also do not follow the rules, so just be careful as there are people “stealing beds” and causing a ruckus at 6am in the morning, and they wear their outside shoes into the dorms. Last but not least, the toilets are so cramped with no ventilations in the showers, so you will just sweat as you take the shower. The toilet paper and sink is also not well managed as there is no toilet paper nearly all the time and there are no staff on duty so you cannot ask for the location to fill up yourself. The lockers are also very badly maintained with the locks falling off. Overall would not visit again.

Full reviewBed itself was clean and rather comfortable in my personal opinion. Towels provided. Kettle, coffee sachets, microwave are there as well. Check-in late at night possible. Front door not locked, not secured, even at night. Same problem with the door to the female room. During the day, random men (pretty sure they weren't hotel guests) came in to sleep in non-occupied beds in the female dorm, which is "conveniently" located on ground floor very visible from the entrance. Situations like these should not be possible to happen. I felt pretty unsafe. Hotel owner(s) probably aware of this, as fake lockpads are installed - including setting off the typical sound of pressing four numbers and the door unlocking every few minutes, to create an illusion of the room door actually being locked.

Full reviewThe staff were very polite and friendly. The property is near the train station which is convenient. The capsule is comfortable and private. Washroom could have been cleaner. It's a very small space. The locker did not work. There was no lock for the door, anyone could enter which made me concerned for safety.

The place was very dirty, none of the doors locked so anyone from the street could just walk in, the man checking us in had no idea where our rooms were but followed us around while we tried working it out ourselves. I had money and bank card stolen out of my wallet so definitely be careful if you do stay here. One of the members of staff said they had an infestation of bed bugs in my room after one night of staying here. I checked out early as it was that bad. Front check in desk is only open from 9am to 7pm so you have to check yourself in after those hours which isn’t great if you have a questions about your stay 🙄 Ladder to get up to top bunk is not easy to use and very easy to injure yourself if you are not careful and toilets are filthy dirty 🤮Will never stay here again and would not recommend you staying here either! Do not be fooled all the good reviews, there are plenty of bad ones too! It’s cheap for a reason

Full reviewFacilities - bed in the premium room is more comfy even the duvet, in the mixed room it’s not. And if you are in the lower deck, you can even hear every time a person in the upper deck moves. They only clean the restroom once a day. Imagine a lot of people are using it. �� They should add at least room/air freshener inside the rooms, cr, and common area. Dirty water dispenser. Also, please bring your own mug/cup. The ones from the hostel were not properly cleaned. And no available dishwashing soap in the hostel. So yeah, just imagine it. 🤢 Staff - the reason why I wouldn't recommend this hostel to a female solo traveler. He keeps on going inside the female room without knocking. The staff/receptionist guy lacks understanding of personal space, boundaries, and privacy. He keeps asking me where I am going every time I go out so that he can follow me or what time I will come back. He even asked for my WhatsApp address to remain in contact with me when I return to my home country. A creeeep!!!! The most frightening moment was when I was left alone in the shared capsule room, and I was in my personal capsule/bed with the lights on and curtains closed. He opened it without asking for my permission or did not bother to ask me if that move is okay. I asked him what he wanted and told him what you were doing because I am resting. He uttered nothing. He stared at me with creepy eyes and smiled, even though he had done something. His behavior caused me to have restless nights in Singapore because I feel paranoid every time I hear footsteps near my capsule. Hope that the management will include female staff. Or just converted this hostel to a male-only capsule hostel.

Full reviewStaff was very helpful and welcoming. Plus it was very close to the stadium which was what I needed Pictures on the booking profile are very much misleading. The place is horrible: the entrance is actually pretty and cosy but as you go by the things keep getting worse. The capsules need maintenance, there was a bug in my locker, I would never dear to use the fridge or the microwave. Showers and toilets are so uncomfortable: they are at the bottom of the place but on a door to a “horrible side of Singapore” which is always kept open. The night was freezing as the air co was at max. Plus the door of the dormitory did not close and the staff also said he never closed the main entrance of the “hotel”… the capsules just have a curtain so I wasn’t feeling safe at all. Next time I’d rather spend 200 euros for an actual hotel rather than 50 for such a thing

Full reviewNothing, this stay was a nightmare The hygiene was terrible, I was scared to use the toilett because of the smell and dirt everywhere. Usually in a hostel you expect students and a certain typ of clientele however here there were old grandpas to old men who look like they just came out of prison. I didnt feel secure do to the fact that the doors were never locked and everybody could just walk in. The pictures online are sooo diffrent from the reality. There is random clothes haning in the bathroom. As a women and someone who actually cares about security and hygiene i dont recommend this place at all. I stayed one night due to the fact that i arrived late and there was no place I could go. Eventhough i had booked for 4 night i left the next day and still wait to get my money back !!

The Room Capsule Hotel is a low-cost stop near Kallang MRT, with fast access to bus links, the stadium, and the airport side of the city. It works best as a simple place to sleep, not as a polished hotel. The sleeping pods give each bed a curtain, plugs, and a bit of personal space. It is a practical stay if location matters most, but it is not a soft landing.
