Terrifying Experience: Bed Bugs, No Room, No Help, and Blame From Management I had the worst hotel experiences of my life while traveling here. At around 1:00 AM, I discovered bed bugs in my room, i was biten by them, i was bleeding out in the bites. I immediately went to the reception, shocked and stressed, and the receptionist confirmed that I could leave the hotel and book another place, he also told me the place was shut down before because of this reason, therefore he told me clearly that they would reimburse me for the extra cost. Later on the manager told me i was a horrible guest, not even helping out. However, things only got worse from there. The hotel did not have any free rooms available, so I had no choice but to leave the property in the middle of the night and find another hotel on my own. I carried all my belongings, checked everything for contamination, and still had to deal with the stress and exhaustion at such late hours. The next day, when I contacted the hotel regarding the reimbursement I had been promised, the management completely changed the story. They told me that I had “misunderstood the situation”, even though the receptionist had been very clear. What shocked me the most was when the manager accused me of intentionally creating a scandal and disturbing other guests. This accusation is not only false, it is offensive and shows a shocking lack of professionalism, empathy, and responsibility. Instead of helping a guest who found two bed bugs in their room and had to leave the hotel at 1 AM because they didn’t offer any alternative room, they chose to deny responsibility and even blame me. This level of disrespect, lack of accountability, and complete absence of customer care is unacceptable. I strongly advise future travelers to think twice before booking here. No guest deserves to be treated this way

BEDBUGS!!! Our room was literally infested with bedbugs. We noticed it on the first night at 23h, right before going to sleep. We ran to the reception and urgently asked for a new room. They couldn’t give us one because the hotel was fully booked, and they didn’t even seem particularly surprised that our room was full of these insects. Fully aware of the risks that bedbugs carry, we didn’t want to stay in that room for even a second longer. So at that hour — it was already close to midnight — we found ourselves out on the streets of Vienna looking for new accommodation. What’s even worse, we started reading other guests’ reviews and saw that they have had a bedbug problem for a long time, which they clearly are not solving, seriously compromising the safety and health of their guests. If you don’t know what bedbugs are, look it up online — and stay away from this accommodation until they fix the problem!

Had an emergency and needed the room ASAP. Wonderful man at the counter helped us and was very polite and considerate. The room itself was clean, no bedbugs or stains in sight. All in all, a great experience, would recommend!

Siamo arrivati alla struttura all’una e mezza di notte e la receptionist continuava a sostenere che la nostra prenotazione non esisteva, anche se in realtà avevamo già pagato tutto. Non voleva farci fare il check in dicendoci che eravamo fuori dall’orario previsto per farlo, anche se avevamo scritto 2 e-mail per chiedere se fosse possibile e lo avevamo specificato nella prenotazione. La tessera per aprire la stanza funzionava a scatti. Sotto al letto era tutto sporco, il mio amico ha preso le cimici da letto.

I stayed there with my friends for two nights. We found bedbugs on our first night in our beds. When we told the staff about it they did not care at all…

La salle de bain est dans la chambre qui est déjà assez petite. L'aération n'est pas assez puissante ce qui fait que la chalbre devient très vite très humide. De plus, elle résonne énormément et les Bouches d'aération sont sur la porte ce qui fait qu'on entend absolument tout ce qui se passe dans la salle de bain, aucune intimité et la nuit ça réveille et fait du bruit. Il y avait également des punaises de lit dans mon lit. Je ne sais pas comment ça n'a pas été signalé plus tôt. Heureusement, l'accueil a été très à l'écoute du problème mais j'attends encore le remboursement de mon séjour suite à cet incident.

Cheap hostel dorm rooms in a bigger hotel. Unfortunately there was an issue with bedbugs in the downstairs dorm where I was staying. Staff didn't seem very concerned at the time and were not particularly helpful in the morning, but I've since been told that this is not their usual standard and through email they were helpful. Hopefully only that room was affected but can't confirm. The hotel is otherwise clean and feels safe, and not too far from transport connections.

Mon séjour a été extrêmement décevant pour plusieurs raisons. L'hôtel était infesté de punaises de lit, sans aucune option de compensation financière ou autre proposée. Les seules solutions proposées étaient de quitter l'hôtel ou de bénéficier d'une réduction lors d'un prochain séjour, ce qui est inacceptable compte tenu des circonstances. Bien évidement les faits ont été confirmé par des professionnels de santé. J’ai également dû me procurer de produit pharmaceutique en urgence. L'assistance de l'équipe a été inexistante face à ce problème grave. Aucune mesure de prévention a été prise (nettoyage ou autre …) malgré mon signalement et constat des faits. Je souhaite souligné que l’intégralité des dépenses que j’ai pu avoir à cet égard était à mes frais. De plus, le wifi ne fonctionnait pas du tout et il y a eu un vol de nourriture dans le frigo commun qui a été ignoré par la réception. Je déconseille fortement cet établissement et ai signalé la présence de punaises de lit. Je tiens à remercier l’assistance de Booking.com qui a tous mis en œuvre pour m’aider. Malgré leurs dévouement, l’hôtel a décider de ne pas me changer de chambre ou me dédommager. Personne de la direction n’a voulu me parler malgré ma demande. Ainsi, j’ai payé un service pour au final me retrouver avec des dommages corporels, cela est inacceptable ! Cf photos ci-joint

BED BUGS!!!!!! Made my bed and was in it for 20mins and saw one on my duvet and took a pic. Look under the mattress and its dusty, same with the walls. Staff changed my room but I couldn't stop thinking ab it. I got a refund but I had to spend more on a new hostel for the night as I just couldn't sleep there. Staff were lovely to me but shocked they didn't tell the others in my room or check their beds. Roomates didn't speak English and didn't understand the severity. Very bad start to Austria.

Warning: Bed bugs! All hostel can get them, it happens. Problem is here they did not care. For two days they knew about the problem without even cleaning or telling us in the room about it. Disgusting. Also apart from the bugs the hostel is bad, the dorm is badly ventilated, the toilet door has ventilation holes out to the room so you hear everything, and staff is unfriendly. No one seems to care about the place or trying to make it a good one. Can't recommend it less

Muy mala experiencia me lleve de este hostal, primero los cuartos de hostal están en otra ubicación a una cuadra y media, los cuartos no están feos pero da la sensación de una cárcel, la puerta de mi cuarto de atoraba y no hicieron mucho caso de eso siempre hubo problema para entrar, solo dos bañeras en mi piso y un WC, las sábanas no me dieron confianza y la camada incómoda, lo que ponen de almohada no sirve como tal, hubo bedbugs, el personal casi no se para por el lugar, todo lo que aparentan en ese hostal es para los huéspedes de habitaciones privadas y las más caras, son amables pero eso no compensa el descuido ni la falta atención a esos desperfectos.

El albergue en sí no está mal. Se encuentra en un edificio a parte. Las habitaciones del albergue son muy estrechas. No incluye el desayuno, aunque por 4€ sirven uno que no está mal. El mayor problema fue el de las pulgas/chinches que nos picaron por todo el cuerpo y no fue nada agradable, tuve que tomar antiestamínico durante una semana por la reacción alérgica.

Today I woke up in the worst hostel I have ever been in my life. On top of that they have the rudest and worst customer service ever. I was bitten by bed bugs all over my body, GUYS all over my body and I went to the reception just for them to switch my bedroom and the manager said it wasn't possible even though she saw all my body marks. That's so ridiculous I cannot believe that they couldn't do anything for me so I strongly suggest to anyone who would like to have a nice and clean stay in Vienna please do not pick this hostel is sooooo disgusting and I'm not even a complicated person I never wrote a review for any hostel but I had to let everyone know about this disgusting experience that I had with this hostel. Spanish: No se les ocurra elegir este hostal es el peor de el mundo, el servicio al cliente es un desastre y las camas tienen chinchas tuve la peor experiencia de mi vida.
