   Wish I'd paid more attention to reviews before booking, I spent the night trying to see if it would be possible to book anywhere else in London last minute. The bathrooms were being cleaned by guests, the rooms were filthy and yes definitely had bedbugs, super cramped and I was very uncomfortable by the fact that the staff were sleeping in the same room and using the only available socket to watch TV late into the night. I sat on the hallway floor outside trying to charge my phone, and when I went downstair

Refunded me and shunned my phone calls since I am going to leave reviews everywhere possible The worst experience and absolutely ruined my trip, money!@# Avoid this chit hole at all cost isn't worth penny

   The staff were nice. The owner was nice when I told him I left 6 days early and gave him the description below why it wasn't satisfactory. He said it's not for everyone. Well I guess that's true. It was cheap. If he did a makeover he could charge more and return it to its former glory and be a nice place for travelers. Be careful of the property description - award winning - which was 14 years ago and the flower has since wilted. It is run down and resembles a boarding house, not a hostel. The practically unusable lounge has a large poster taped to the ceiling covering an equally large water stain. The black hallways are noted by scraps of wood nailed to a window to keep it open and on bathroom doors to [cover holes]? Half the bathrooms and showers weren't working. A friend got bed bug bites and another person asked for a refund while checking out early due to bed bugs, while I was sitting nearby - and it was refused. I had the £2 breakfast of instant coffee (😏), cereal, fruit & bread. I left 6 days early, not asking for a refund because I felt sorry for the owner who I felt was down on his luck and couldn't afford to refund me. I later found out he owns at least one other hostel. Not much nearby. Read reviews!

   All good reviews are bots or fake. No charging ports in the dorms, a major safety issue for travelling since our phones were losing battery quickly. Saw reports of bedbugs from December 2025, had to wash all of our clothes multiple times before we felt comfortable to wear them again. We got out of there at 12am same night, such a dodgy area with really dodgy people hanging around.

   Staff was welcoming when I arrived Staff asked me to make a good review for the hostel. Definitely not an award winning hostel may of been in the past. Rooms desperately need redecorating and cleaning thoroughly so much dirt inside the radiators and cleaner come into the dorm at 7pm making noise. Got woken up at 4am with fire works going off outside. For one night the place is okay.

   Don't stay here lol. I ended up leaving about as soon as i got there and slept at the airport instead! (Glad I did - I met another girl my age who stayed the night, she later texted me she left with a fever and bed bug bites). This is the only hostel I felt uneasy about leaving my belongings at. Plus, some dudes hanging outside were a bit creepy. My fault for not reading up on these reviews before hand. Only plus i can give is that the staff was friendly
