Bed bugs. After we checked in, we felt something strange in the air in the hallway (our throats got dry + strong nauseous feeling). When we asked one of the guy in our room about it, he told us that the hostel was treating one of the room for bed bugs - apparently brought the day before by a woman who left in the morning. In the evening, we saw bed bugs on the wall and in the beds of the room we were staying in ! One of us even got some on his clothes ! We changed room at 2am and the staff asked us to leave our stuff in the old room, while they sprayed the product to kill the bugs. They asked us to give them the clothes that were outside our backpacks so they can wash them. The hostel knew about the situation and didn’t warn us about it when we checked in. They didn’t even look sorry about it. This morning they brought back our clothes unwashed ! Hopefully we noticed it before putting them back in our luggage ! Don’t go there !

Estoril es un clasico centrico de Buenos Aires con escala de edificio antiguo: habitaciones grandes, balcones, patios, cocina y energia de Avenida de Mayo al lado. Las mejores estancias se apoyan en la ubicacion, recepcion amable, espacios comunes limpios y un edificio con rincones para trabajar, cocinar, recuperarse o planear la siguiente mision portena. El vibe no cabe en una sola etiqueta. Puede ser amable y facil para viajar solo, con equipo que orienta sobre actividades en la ciudad, pero tambien tiene un lado mas practico y tranquilo: base centrica antes que laboratorio de fiesta permanente. Si quieres centro, subte cerca y una cascara hostelera grande y vieja, hay material. Esa centralidad tambien trae ruido, y el edificio antiguo tiene variaciones de mantenimiento. Habitaciones a la calle, sonido de areas comunes, cocina gastada y quejas de limpieza aparecen. Mejor para quien valora ubicacion y caracter, y tolera unos decibeles portenos haciendo su solo de bateria.

- El ruido de la calle y de las zonas comunes puede complicar mucho el descanso.
- La limpieza y el mantenimiento son irregulares en algunas habitaciones y zonas compartidas.
- Hay riesgos aislados graves de comportamiento agresivo y drogas alrededor del lugar.
