I was super disappointed with the experience my friend and I had here. The hostel itself is beautiful and fun but we were really frustrated with the huge sanitary hazard we experienced. The first night we were there we found out that one of the beds in our room had bedbugs and that the hostel had been made aware of this before we checked in. They put 3 people in that bed in the time that we stayed and received complaints multiple times. Nothing was done until the day after our third night where they deep cleaned the entire room and determined that the room was infested. The whole room had to move out or find another hostel with very little notice beforehand. They did give us, as well as the others who were currently in the room or stayed in the room at some point, a full refund for our entire stay but the inaction and disregard on the hostels end is really hard to look past.

Super sociable hostel in great location- unfortunately, I got bed bug bites here, I informed the hostel immediately and they were not accommodating at all - they first responded with ‘Indonesia doesn’t have bed bugs’ which was really dismissive - I asked if I could have a laundry service done or treatment paid for which was followed by ‘sorry we don’t offer that’- again, extremely dismissive - a lovely rep gave me her anti itch cream but the reception staff didn’t seem to care- just a warning to people to check the sheets or stay elsewhere

El Hostal de la Granja es una animada estancia de Canggu construida alrededor de actividades nocturnas, una zona de piscina y un espacio común ocupado. Se adapta a los viajeros que quieren un lugar fácil para conocer gente y mantener la noche en movimiento. Las habitaciones suelen ser limpias y amplias, y algunas camas de dormitorio tienen una cortina, luz y enchufe. La ubicación funciona bien para Canggu, y la comida y las bebidas a menudo son asequibles, lo que le da al lugar una sensación sólida de relación calidad-precio. Hay un lado duro de la fiesta, por lo que el estado de ánimo puede sentirse intenso en las horas pico. Aun así, el albergue mantiene una regla de silencio nocturno en partes de la propiedad, por lo que puede adaptarse a las personas que desean actividad durante el día y una base más tranquila después de las horas.

- El ruido puede llegar tarde, y dormir antes de la medianoche puede ser difícil cuando el albergue está ocupado.
- La limpieza es desigual en todas las estancias, especialmente en los baños, ropa de cama y toallas.
- El desayuno es básico más que sobresaliente.
- Algunas habitaciones tienen inconvenientes prácticos, como ropa de cama delgada, agua caliente, aseos abiertos o semiabiertos o puertas que no se cierran.
