I had a deeply disappointing experience during my stay at Urbany Hostel London due to a bedbug infestation in my room. Over the course of three nights, I was repeatedly bitten, which led to significant discomfort and persistent itching that lasted for weeks. Even now, months later, I still have scars from these bites. Upon realizing the issue, I reported it to the hostel. While they initially responded promptly and claimed to conduct regular pest control checks, their follow-up was unsatisfactory. Despite providing photographic evidence and medical confirmation that the bites were indeed from bedbugs, the hostel dismissed my concerns. What is most concerning is the hostel's refusal to take accountability for the health and safety of their guests. Not only was I denied a refund, but the overall tone of their communication seemed more focused on denying responsibility than ensuring guest well-being. The health risks associated with bedbugs are well-documented, and it is crucial for any hospitality provider to respond with care and seriousness when such issues are reported. I cannot in good conscience recommend staying at Urbany Hostel London. While I understand that issues like bedbugs can arise in any accommodation, how a business responds to these issues is equally important. Unfortunately, Urbany Hostel failed to take appropriate responsibility for a serious health concern.

Hostel disgusting, with bed bugs, cockroaches, spiders, rotting, very small dorm, unprofessional, no luggage security, RUN AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!! They are profiteers and your stay in london will be spoilt

No CCTV Doors dont shut fully you have to pull them shut when leaving room. First room had bedbugs so I was transferred to another room. Staff were arrogantly friendly but had hidden agendas of drinking games to make you miss check out so you then had to pay $20 late checkout fee My advise would be to use the hostels around the corner

L'ostello organizza cene di gruppo, walking tour, pub crawl, serate fuori e altre attività stile meet-up, quindi può funzionare bene per chi viaggia da solo e vuole una base giovane ed estroversa invece di un crash pad silenzioso. La posizione è un vero asset: vicino a Hyde Park, Notting Hill, Queensway, Paddington, negozi, ristoranti e collegamenti utili, con una sensazione residenziale più calma rispetto alle zone party più centrali. Le aree comuni, la cucina e la terrazza sono il motore sociale del posto, e lo staff è spesso caloroso, energico e pronto ad aiutare. L'edificio è basico e un po' old-school. I letti possono cigolare, traballare, essere sottili o scomodi, e nei dormitori possono mancare tende, mensole, luci da letto e vero spazio sicuro per i bagagli. Con il caldo le camere possono diventare soffocanti senza abbastanza ricambio d'aria. Bagni e docce possono essere piccoli, limitati o incostanti, anche se alcune parti dell'ostello possono essere molto pulite. È ideale per viaggiatori che vogliono Londra, nuove persone, programmi di gruppo e caos da ostello economico con payoff sociale. È meno adatto a chi dà priorità a privacy, sonno solido, strutture moderne o un reset calmo dopo lunghe giornate in città.
