There were quite a bit of toilets and bathrooms would’ve appreciated if all of the toilets were attached to the bathrooms. The pillows weren’t clear and bedsheets weren’t washed properly there were crumbs of food under my bedsheet. I think there is also bed bugs because my face started itching and I got rashes. Not recommended to anyone.

The building and surrounds plus the situation of the site is amazing. The frontline staff are helpful and accommodating. The mattress is too soft so doesn't support alignment of the spine resulting in lumbar & thoracic discomfort. It also feels like sleeping on latex with the thin lower sheet. The main issue though was BED BUGS! Though I had some scratching on initial nights, on the final night I was awake for most of it and came out in red bite marks on arms, legs & hands. I showed frontline staff. They asked if I wanted to see the manager which I didn't deem necessary because I had already reported it.

YHA Penzance sta in un punto tranquillo e boscoso fuori citta', con grandi terreni, una lounge spaziosa, una cucina per self-catering e molte docce e WC. Quando gira bene, il posto e' pulito, lo staff e' gentile e la colazione prende voti alti. Sembra piu' una base larga per un viaggio in auto o una sosta in famiglia che un ostello cittadino compatto. Il vantaggio e' il contesto; il compromesso e' che l'esperienza puo' oscillare molto a seconda di quale camera, tenda o turno ti capita.

- E' una lunga camminata dal paese e scomodo se non hai un'auto.
- Comfort e manutenzione sono irregolari, con materassi deboli, riscaldamento scarso, docce rotte e cimici da letto nel mix.
- Il rumore puo' essere un problema, soprattutto da arrivi tardivi, gruppi, porte e spazi condivisi di notte.
