Fun nightly activities. Hostel had bugs in the bed. It has one of the better restaurants in Horseshoe Bay for convenience. Outdoor pool was locked for morning swims. Billiards table for 3$. No BYO. Free breakfast raffle (but only when enough people show up)

Had a really great stay in one of the private A frames. Then noticed I had about 50 bed bug bites- this is the only place we stayed at. Can’t confirm with certainty but please be aware

Really pretty hostel, nice atmosphere and people. Unfortunately, it was really dirty. Specially the bathrooms were disgusting, we saw a coacroach in the bethroom and the courtains had a lot of mold. Also I think I got bedbugs from there, as I was completely biten at night. Watch out for snakes, especially when you walk at night. For 100 AUD a night they could exchange the curtains from time to time... but the staff was really friendly and helpful!

Roamer was my first hostel and stop on my trip, but unfortunately, within the second morning of waking up, I had over 50+ bed bug bites. I immediately went to the front desk to show them the bites, as well as the blood stains all over the sheets. They are aware of the bed bugs and leave it be. Full review is on google reviews

Cozy hostel, Nice staff, But, and its a big But. There where bed bugs in my bed and i got over 70+ bites all over my body and i have never scratched so much in my life.

Vibe-analyse
Ontbijt met koalas en de rainbow lorikeet feeding om 4pm geven Bounce een echte Magnetic Island oddball edge. Het hostel ligt in een bushy setting met wallabies, possums, vogels en af en toe koalas rond het terrein, dus het natuurdeel is niet alleen decor. De sociale kant is actief zonder een pure chaosbunker te zijn: yoga, trivia, muziekquiz, pizza night, sip and paint, baravonden en dagelijkse activiteiten maken het makkelijk om in een groep te glijden, terwijl de cabins en kamers nog steeds rustig en ruim verspreid kunnen voelen. Het zwembad, de hangmatten, bar en common areas dragen een relaxed island-resort gevoel in plaats van een krappe dorm-factory mood. Kamers zijn vaak schoon en comfortabel, met privecabins, dorms, camping en van spots in de mix. De keuken kan schoon en goed gevuld zijn, het barfood en de koffie kunnen lekker raken, en de locatie werkt goed voor Horseshoe Bay, de bushalte, The Forts walk, snorkelspullen huren en luie stranddagen.
Signalen om te checken
- Dormsetup kan basic voelen, met geen kluisjes, geen privacygordijnen, beperkte bagageruimte en onhandige bovenbedden in sommige kamers.
- Schoonmaak is inconsistent, vooral rond gedeelde badkamers, schimmel, afvoeren, prullenbakken, bugs en stoffige stapelbedden.
- Eten- en drinkservice kan wisselend zijn, waarbij sommige maaltijden te duur voelen of vlak voor sluiting niet beschikbaar zijn.
- Wi-Fi kan fragmentarisch zijn of ontbreken in kamers en powered sites.
- Campervan- en caravansites kunnen krap zijn, met stroom- en watertoegang niet altijd handig.
- De koala-interactie setup past mogelijk niet bij reizigers die hands-on wildlife tourism vermijden.
