I was bitten by fleas or bed bugs on several parts of my body. I have traveled to more than 60 countries, and this is only the second time this has happened. The first incident occurred in Africa, and I definitely did not expect this to happen in Helsinki.

I really liked Hostel Diana Park. I stayed there three times because it’s in the center of Helsinki, very convenient and walking distance to everything. The staff were always super nice, friendly, and helpful. The hostel felt cozy and clean. On my last stay, during the first night, I woke up around 7 a.m. with my feet very itchy and uncomfortable. I couldn’t sleep even though I went to bed after midnight. Later, I realized I had many bed bug bites, more than 40 on both feet. It was very uncomfortable, and I had to use Aquaphor cream for about two weeks. I told the staff that morning; they were kind and tried to help, but I had to wait until after 11 a.m. to change rooms. Also, the hostel is on the third floor with no elevator, which makes it hard to carry luggage.

Very friendly staff, good wifi, seems to have a social atmosphere. Bed bugs!! On checkout you must strip your bed and I found a bed bug! No room in dorm to put your bags, only a tiny locker for passport etc, noisy being right next to the bathrooms, I stayed at yard hostel which was much nicer.

Análise do ambiente
