Sooo I was only there for one night and I came late, but it was really hard to communicate with the security guard, since he did not speak a word English. He still tried his best to explain though and the man at the checkout was really nice. The rooms are kind of clean, I saw some bug in the bed though. The toilets and showers however are really not good. no sign of soap and pretty s**t toilets overall. The building where everything was seemed kinda shady, too. For one night ok, nothing more tho

WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! BED BUGS! À FUIR I hate commenting but I have to! I don't recommend this youth hostel at all! I was staying there in July during the theatre festival and it was horrible. The location is amazing, but you pay 60 euros for a 8 m2 room and you get a small sticky room with dirty draft sheets. On top of that, my whole body was itching the wohle night and and I had many red spots "blessures" all over my body. They said that the travelers bring the bed bugs, it is not their fault. Avignon was my first travel destination this month so there is something not matching! They promised to block the room and they did not, the bed was made and given to people the same day as I got told later. On top of that one of my friends who was also staying in this hostel had the same problem a few days later. Now I am back home for a few weeks and I still have those bed bugs and I will now have to pay a lot of money to get them all killed with some expensive, very unhealthy chemics! Don't do that to yourself! Go camping, the camping place is amazing, the youth hostel very much the opposite!

Die staerkste Karte von Auberge Bagatelle ist ihr Avignon-Setting: auf der Ile de la Barthelasse an der Rhone, nah genug, um ueber die Bruecke in die Altstadt zu laufen, mit Wegen entlang des Flusses und Blick Richtung Palais des Papes. Die schattige Terrasse und die grossen Baeume koennen es in der Festivalhitze kuehler und ruhiger wirken lassen als das Zentrum. Das ist ein simples Old-school-Auberge-/Camping-Setup, kein polierter Backpacker-Hub. Es funktioniert am besten als praktische Basis fuer Avignon, Schulgruppen, Trainings, Radfahrer auf der ViaRhona oder Festivaltrips, bei denen Lage und Preis wichtiger sind als glatte Zimmer. Essen und Service sind uneinheitlich, koennen aber ein echtes Plus sein. Gruppenmahlzeiten, vegetarische Optionen, Picknickformeln, Fruehstueck auf der Terrasse und warme Hilfe von Christine, Andre, Celine und dem Serviceteam tauchen alle als helle Punkte auf. Die soziale Szene wirkt eher zufaellig als designed: Terrasse, gemischte Kundschaft und Gruppenenergie statt organisierter Hostelrituale.

- Dorms und Zimmer koennen veraltet, dunkel, heiss, schlecht belueftet und knapp an Steckdosen sein.
- Wi-Fi kann extra kosten oder im Hostelgebaeude nicht verfuegbar sein, und es gibt moeglicherweise keine nutzbare Kueche oder Schliessfaecher.
- Sauberkeit ist uneinheitlich, mit ernsten Beschwerden ueber Baeder, Bettwaesche, Insekten, Schimmel und allgemeine Wartung.
- Baeder koennen fuer Gruppen begrenzt sein, und Seife oder Toilettenpapier sind moeglicherweise nicht immer verfuegbar.
