Sooo I was only there for one night and I came late, but it was really hard to communicate with the security guard, since he did not speak a word English. He still tried his best to explain though and the man at the checkout was really nice. The rooms are kind of clean, I saw some bug in the bed though. The toilets and showers however are really not good. no sign of soap and pretty s**t toilets overall. The building where everything was seemed kinda shady, too. For one night ok, nothing more tho

WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! BED BUGS! À FUIR I hate commenting but I have to! I don't recommend this youth hostel at all! I was staying there in July during the theatre festival and it was horrible. The location is amazing, but you pay 60 euros for a 8 m2 room and you get a small sticky room with dirty draft sheets. On top of that, my whole body was itching the wohle night and and I had many red spots "blessures" all over my body. They said that the travelers bring the bed bugs, it is not their fault. Avignon was my first travel destination this month so there is something not matching! They promised to block the room and they did not, the bed was made and given to people the same day as I got told later. On top of that one of my friends who was also staying in this hostel had the same problem a few days later. Now I am back home for a few weeks and I still have those bed bugs and I will now have to pay a lot of money to get them all killed with some expensive, very unhealthy chemics! Don't do that to yourself! Go camping, the camping place is amazing, the youth hostel very much the opposite!

La carta más fuerte de Auberge Bagatelle es su ubicación en Avignon: en Ile de la Barthelasse junto al Rhone, lo bastante cerca para cruzar caminando el puente hacia la ciudad antigua, con senderos junto al río y vistas hacia el Palais des Papes. La terraza sombreada y los árboles grandes pueden hacer que se sienta más fresco y calmado que el centro durante el calor del festival. Esto es una auberge/camping simple de vieja escuela, no un hub backpacker pulido. Funciona mejor como base práctica para Avignon, grupos escolares, capacitaciones, ciclistas de la ViaRhona o viajes de festival donde ubicación y precio importan más que habitaciones elegantes. La comida y el servicio son irregulares pero pueden ser un plus real. Comidas grupales, opciones vegetarianas, fórmulas de picnic, desayuno en la terraza y ayuda cálida de Christine, Andre, Celine y el equipo de servicio aparecen como puntos brillantes. La escena social parece más accidental que diseñada: una terraza, clientela mixta y energía de grupo más que rituales organizados de hostel.

- Dormitorios y habitaciones pueden estar anticuados, oscuros, calurosos, mal ventilados y con pocos enchufes.
- El Wi-Fi puede costar extra o no estar disponible en el edificio del hostel, y puede que no haya cocina usable ni lockers.
- La limpieza es inconsistente, con quejas serias sobre baños, ropa de cama, insectos, moho y mantenimiento general.
- Los baños pueden ser limitados para grupos, y puede que no siempre haya jabón o papel higiénico.
- La calidez del staff varía fuerte; el servicio puede ser amable y flexible, pero interacciones con management o seguridad pueden sentirse bruscas.
- Probablemente encaja mejor como base barata para Avignon que para viaje social en solitario o estadías comfort-first.
