Sooo I was only there for one night and I came late, but it was really hard to communicate with the security guard, since he did not speak a word English. He still tried his best to explain though and the man at the checkout was really nice. The rooms are kind of clean, I saw some bug in the bed though. The toilets and showers however are really not good. no sign of soap and pretty s**t toilets overall. The building where everything was seemed kinda shady, too. For one night ok, nothing more tho

WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! BED BUGS! À FUIR I hate commenting but I have to! I don't recommend this youth hostel at all! I was staying there in July during the theatre festival and it was horrible. The location is amazing, but you pay 60 euros for a 8 m2 room and you get a small sticky room with dirty draft sheets. On top of that, my whole body was itching the wohle night and and I had many red spots "blessures" all over my body. They said that the travelers bring the bed bugs, it is not their fault. Avignon was my first travel destination this month so there is something not matching! They promised to block the room and they did not, the bed was made and given to people the same day as I got told later. On top of that one of my friends who was also staying in this hostel had the same problem a few days later. Now I am back home for a few weeks and I still have those bed bugs and I will now have to pay a lot of money to get them all killed with some expensive, very unhealthy chemics! Don't do that to yourself! Go camping, the camping place is amazing, the youth hostel very much the opposite!

A carta mais forte da Auberge Bagatelle é sua localização em Avignon: na Ile de la Barthelasse junto ao Rhône, perto o suficiente para atravessar a ponte a pé até a cidade antiga, com caminhos ao longo do rio e vistas para o Palais des Papes. O terraço sombreado e as árvores grandes podem fazer o lugar parecer mais fresco e calmo do que o centro durante o calor do festival. Isto é uma estrutura simples e old-school de auberge/camping, não um hub mochileiro polido. Funciona melhor como base prática para Avignon, grupos escolares, treinamentos, ciclistas na ViaRhona ou viagens de festival em que localização e preço importam mais do que quartos elegantes. Comida e serviço são irregulares, mas podem ser um plus real. Refeições de grupo, opções vegetarianas, fórmulas de picnic, café da manhã no terraço e ajuda calorosa de Christine, Andre, Celine e da equipe de serviço aparecem como pontos luminosos. A cena social parece mais acidental do que projetada: um terraço, clientela misturada e energia de grupos em vez de rituais organizados de hostel.

- Wi-Fi pode custar extra ou não estar disponível no prédio do hostel, e pode não haver cozinha utilizável nem lockers.
