Sooo I was only there for one night and I came late, but it was really hard to communicate with the security guard, since he did not speak a word English. He still tried his best to explain though and the man at the checkout was really nice. The rooms are kind of clean, I saw some bug in the bed though. The toilets and showers however are really not good. no sign of soap and pretty s**t toilets overall. The building where everything was seemed kinda shady, too. For one night ok, nothing more tho

WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! BED BUGS! À FUIR I hate commenting but I have to! I don't recommend this youth hostel at all! I was staying there in July during the theatre festival and it was horrible. The location is amazing, but you pay 60 euros for a 8 m2 room and you get a small sticky room with dirty draft sheets. On top of that, my whole body was itching the wohle night and and I had many red spots "blessures" all over my body. They said that the travelers bring the bed bugs, it is not their fault. Avignon was my first travel destination this month so there is something not matching! They promised to block the room and they did not, the bed was made and given to people the same day as I got told later. On top of that one of my friends who was also staying in this hostel had the same problem a few days later. Now I am back home for a few weeks and I still have those bed bugs and I will now have to pay a lot of money to get them all killed with some expensive, very unhealthy chemics! Don't do that to yourself! Go camping, the camping place is amazing, the youth hostel very much the opposite!

Analisi dell'atmosfera
La carta piu forte di Auberge Bagatelle e il suo setting ad Avignone: sull'Ile de la Barthelasse vicino al Rodano, abbastanza vicina da attraversare il ponte a piedi verso la citta vecchia, con sentieri lungo il fiume e viste verso il Palais des Papes. La terrazza ombreggiata e i grandi alberi possono farla sembrare piu fresca e calma del centro durante il caldo del festival. Questo e un setup semplice, old-school, da auberge/camping, non un hub backpacker lucidato. Funziona meglio come base pratica per Avignone, gruppi scolastici, corsi, ciclisti sulla ViaRhona o viaggi per il festival dove posizione e prezzo contano piu delle camere sleek. Cibo e servizio sono irregolari ma possono essere un vero plus. Pasti di gruppo, opzioni vegetariane, formule picnic, colazione in terrazza e aiuto caloroso da Christine, Andre, Celine e il team di servizio compaiono tutti come punti luminosi. La scena sociale sembra piu accidentale che progettata: una terrazza, clientela mista ed energia di gruppo piu che rituali da ostello organizzati.
Segnali da controllare
- Dorm e camere possono essere datati, scuri, caldi, poco ventilati e con poche prese.
- Il Wi-Fi puo costare extra o non essere disponibile nell edificio ostello, e potrebbe non esserci una cucina utilizzabile o armadietti.
- La pulizia e incostante, con lamentele serie su bagni, biancheria, insetti, muffa e manutenzione generale.
- I bagni possono essere limitati per i gruppi, e sapone o carta igienica potrebbero non essere sempre disponibili.
- Il calore dello staff varia molto; il servizio puo essere gentile e flessibile, ma interazioni con management o sicurezza possono sembrare brusche.
- Probabilmente e piu adatto come base economica ad Avignone che per viaggio sociale da soli o soggiorni comfort-first.
