UPDATE: BEDBUGS!! Avoid this place. Let me start off by saying that I feel badly for writing this review, because it is clear that this camp was built with love, but something has gotten lost in the years between when it was built and now. I paid €90 per night in the high season and this was far too much money for what you are getting. The mosquitoes are unbearable and the nets on the tents have holes in them, so you spend the night being swarmed by insects. While I was staying here, several guests left early because the mosquitoes were so terrible. The staff offers lavender oil to deter the bugs but this is not enough. For €90, Cast Away should at least invest in some basic amenities for guests to make their stay more enjoyable (battery operated fans to keep the bugs off your face at night, for example). There are several other guesthouses right next to the camp so the beach can get crowded during the day, & two showers/two toilets are shared between 15+ people. The beach is beautiful and the staff are so kind, but I’m unclear as to what we are paying €90 euros a night for. I would not recommend the camp to anyone at this price.

The hostel has small huts or tent-like shelters, plus a shared kitchen, bathrooms, a bar, BBQ, pizza oven, hammocks, and plenty of places to sit and relax. Kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes can be hired, and there is a shuttle pickup and drop-off at set times. The atmosphere can feel social, but it is also easy to keep to yourself. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful, and the property has a simple, low-key feel rather than a polished one. It works well for travelers who want sea views, a relaxed setting, and an easy place to unplug.
