BED BUGS! // PUNAISES DE LIT! I found a bed bug on the mattress (under the blankets) upon my arrival. Ended up leaving and asking for a refund, which I was thankfully granted. The team was super understanding, said they had already been working on treating the place and thought the issue was solved. Apparently not. I am sure they will take necessary measures to get rid of them but I would be extra cautious and check everything if I were to stay there. Very unfortunate, considering the place looked amazing, common areas and rooms.

BED BUGS! When I woke up at 11:08 pm with scratches and bites all over my body. I walked down many flights of stairs to call the hostel reception. They were not apologetic upon hearing I had been bitten by bedbugs. Nor did they offer a refund unless asked. I was only granted a refund for one night. Ridiculous! When I showed the bites on my body they even denied that they were bed bug bites. After having a terrible experience and being further invalidated by the staff it’s an awful experience abroad. I became ill afterwards and not wanting to travel while in this state, I booked more nights. I would not recommend this hostel to any loved ones of mine. Safe travels to all!

Es fehlten: - kostenlose Handtücher - im Innenhof einen gemütlichen Platz um sich aufzuhalten - Vorhänge an den Betten Leider hatte das 14 Betten Schlafzimmer Bettwanzen (von denen das Hostel-Team wusste, da überall Fallen aufgestellt waren, die leider nichts gebracht haben)

The hostel looks amazing and stays true to Mediterranean design concepts. Unfortunately I did not have a pleasant stay as I got bit by bed bugs. However the hostel resolved the issue and provided me a refund. They were easy to deal with, even during difficult conversations. I recommend maintaining some staff in the hostel at night to deal with issues like mine.

El edificio histórico Art Nouveau es el gancho aquí, dándole a Hostel Sóller más sensación de pequeño hotel que de parada pelada de literas. Es limpio, estiloso y queda cerca del centro de Sóller, con el GR221 y los días de montaña justo en el punto práctico dulce. El setup compartido es mejor que genérico: cocina bien equipada, mucho espacio de heladera, baños limpios, lockers bajo las camas y un pequeño patio o terraza para comer y pasar el rato. Las zonas comunes funcionan para leer, cocinar y socializar en baja intensidad, y el ambiente puede ser amable y fácil para conocer gente sin convertirse en máquina de fiesta. El desayuno puede incluir jugo de naranja fresco, café, opciones estilo español y a veces masa madre, pero el valor es lo bastante mixto como para que usar la cocina o tiendas cercanas pueda ser la jugada más inteligente. El staff suele ser servicial y cálido, aunque la cobertura de recepción y la consistencia del servicio pueden variar. Es más fuerte para senderistas, exploradores de Sóller y viajeros que quieren una base bonita y limpia con voltaje social relajado. Es menos ideal para quien busca sueño profundo, privacidad, soporte con staff toda la noche o una cuenta de hostel que se sienta barata.
Señales a revisar
- Los dorms bajo el techo o en habitaciones grandes pueden sentirse apretados, calurosos o cargados.
- El ruido puede viajar desde la calle, pasillo, puertas, baños, cañerías y otras camas.
- La recepción puede no estar siempre atendida, especialmente más tarde en el día o de noche.
- Desayuno, toallas, sábanas, agua y precios de habitaciones privadas pueden sentirse caros para el setup.
- Algunas camas no tienen cortinas de privacidad, y los enchufes pueden ser incómodos o limitados.
- Ha habido problemas de chinches en el pasado; revisar el colchón al llegar es sensato.
- Estacionar cerca puede ser difícil.
