Great hostel for socialising and drinking, if that’s what you like. No real privacy as there’s no curtains on the beds and nowhere to sit except the common area which is quite crammed. The bathrooms didn’t feel that clean and I’m pretty sure my bed had bed bugs. However it was in a great location and I had a great time and met wonderful people! The staff were good at organising events

Much cleaner than over dive centres I’ve stayed at. However, I reported potential bed bugs (which for the record, I think I got the bed bug bites from a different hostel) via their WhatsApp number. I asked them to let me know if they found anything, and then they gave me the number of the front desk manager. I texted this number to check the message had been passed on. I’ve had no response and no messages since. Not very professional

Literally the best hostel in KL! Judith and Patrick are amazing, and the guests here really do feel like family. They also went above and beyond and moved me beds and even cleaned all of my stuff because of bed bugs that I got from the previous hostel I stayed at. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

El pub crawl es el evento principal en Sunshine Bedz KL: una plataforma social facil en Bukit Bintang, con noches de quiz y planes nocturnos regulares que hacen simple enganchar rapido. Es especialmente fuerte para backpackers solos que quieren que KL se sienta menos anonima desde la primera noche. La ubicacion hace gran parte del trabajo pesado. El MRT Bukit Bintang esta cerca, malls, restaurantes, Jalan Alor, tiendas de conveniencia y puntos centrales son faciles de alcanzar, y las Torres Petronas se pueden caminar si el calor se porta bien. El staff puede ser calido y personal, con nombres como Wan, Patrick y Marsha ligados a mucha de la mejor energia aqui. Las instalaciones son basicas mas que pulidas. Espera una sensacion de hostel old-school, dormitorios y duchas suficientemente limpios cuando el lugar funciona bien, aire acondicionado en habitaciones, lockers, una nevera en vez de cocina compartida completa, desayuno simple de tostadas y una azotea o terraza de fumadores para pasar el rato. Esto es mas motor social que laboratorio boutique del sueno.
Señales a revisar
- Las camas de dormitorio normalmente no tienen cortinas de privacidad, y las mantas pueden ser pequenas o delgadas.
- Los horarios de recepcion pueden ser limitados, con check-in tarde y checkout temprano necesitando paciencia extra.
- Habitaciones y banos pueden sentirse apretados, anticuados, humedos o con distribucion incomoda, con banos a veces lejos de los dormitorios.
- El WiFi puede ser mas debil en habitaciones que en zonas comunes.
- El ruido puede viajar desde la zona comun, la calle o planes sociales nocturnos, asi que quienes duermen ligero pueden sufrir.
