Great hostel for socialising and drinking, if that’s what you like. No real privacy as there’s no curtains on the beds and nowhere to sit except the common area which is quite crammed. The bathrooms didn’t feel that clean and I’m pretty sure my bed had bed bugs. However it was in a great location and I had a great time and met wonderful people! The staff were good at organising events

Much cleaner than over dive centres I’ve stayed at. However, I reported potential bed bugs (which for the record, I think I got the bed bug bites from a different hostel) via their WhatsApp number. I asked them to let me know if they found anything, and then they gave me the number of the front desk manager. I texted this number to check the message had been passed on. I’ve had no response and no messages since. Not very professional

Literally the best hostel in KL! Judith and Patrick are amazing, and the guests here really do feel like family. They also went above and beyond and moved me beds and even cleaned all of my stuff because of bed bugs that I got from the previous hostel I stayed at. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Il pub crawl è l’evento principale al Sunshine Bedz KL: un launchpad sociale facile a Bukit Bintang, con quiz night e piani serali regolari che rendono semplice agganciarsi in fretta. È particolarmente forte per solo backpacker che vogliono far sembrare KL meno anonima già dalla prima notte. La posizione fa gran parte del lavoro pesante. La MRT di Bukit Bintang è vicina, mall, ristoranti, Jalan Alor, convenience store e sights centrali sono facili da raggiungere, e le Petronas Towers sono camminabili se il caldo collabora. Lo staff può essere caldo e personale, con nomi come Wan, Patrick e Marsha legati a molta dell’energia migliore qui. Le strutture sono basic più che polished. Aspettati un feeling da ostello old-school, dorm e docce abbastanza puliti quando il posto gira bene, aria condizionata nelle camere, armadietti, un frigo invece di una cucina condivisa completa, colazione semplice con toast e un rooftop o terrazza fumatori per stare in giro. È più motore sociale che boutique sleep lab.
Segnali da controllare
- I letti nei dorm di solito non hanno tende privacy, e le coperte possono essere piccole o sottili.
- Gli orari della reception possono essere limitati, con late check-in e checkout anticipato che richiedono pazienza extra.
- Camere e bagni possono sembrare stretti, datati, umidi o disposti in modo scomodo, con bagni a volte lontani dai dorm.
- Il Wi-Fi può essere più debole nelle camere che nelle aree comuni.
- Il rumore può arrivare dall’area comune, dalla strada o dai piani social notturni, quindi chi ha il sonno leggero può fare fatica.
