ControVento Hostel

This time I was "unlucky" and was bitten by bed bugs. Disinfection is a must after this. I notified the staff as soon as I found it out

Bed bugs, staff was nice but I don’t think much matters once a hostel has bed bugs. Unless they throw out the mattresses as any treatments are usually false promises.

I got bitten all over by bed bugs and worry that they are all over my belongings now.

the sheets were not clean infact the hotel was full of bed bugs I got bitten quite badly even after so called sanitation even others got bitten but everyone thought they were mosquitos but bed bugs infact have to go to doctor

AVOID - bedbugs. Reported to staff and dismissed. The stay and people were very lovely, but I unfortunately woke up to several bug bites all over my body. I told hotel staff and even pointed out the bed bug stains on the mattress (apparently I can’t attach pics but they were clumped little black stains on the bottom edge seam of the mattress). Hostel staff dismissed them as “stains” (but they looked exactly like bed bug mattress stains if you do that image search) and did nothing about it.

Very nice hostel with cool vibes for a more laid back traveller not as into the party scene. Nice spacious rooms and cool building. Unfortunately there were bed bugs in one of the beds we had booked and the sheets were visibly dirty. The top bunk also lacked proper railings so if you don't have a bunk up against a wall as we didn't, it can feel a little dodgy! Overall a mostly positive experience except for the bed bugs.

Great place and staff but bedbugs made for a negative experience.
