Confirmado Hostelworld
It was an amazing hostel, it felt very luxurious and safe! Really comfortable beds and every bed had a fan. Only downside is that there were bedbugs there during my stay :/

Bed bugs, staff was nice but I don’t think much matters once a hostel has bed bugs. Unless they throw out the mattresses as any treatments are usually false promises.

the sheets were not clean infact the hotel was full of bed bugs I got bitten quite badly even after so called sanitation even others got bitten but everyone thought they were mosquitos but bed bugs infact have to go to doctor

AVOID - bedbugs. Reported to staff and dismissed. The stay and people were very lovely, but I unfortunately woke up to several bug bites all over my body. I told hotel staff and even pointed out the bed bug stains on the mattress (apparently I can’t attach pics but they were clumped little black stains on the bottom edge seam of the mattress). Hostel staff dismissed them as “stains” (but they looked exactly like bed bug mattress stains if you do that image search) and did nothing about it.

An sich schönes Hostel, jedoch habe ich BETTWANZEN bekommen. Auf Rückfrage wurde nur gesagt dass es gecheckt wird, jedoch wurde nicht einmal nach meiner Bettnummer gefragt. Das Problem wurde anscheinend nicht ernst genommen. Mein ganzer Körper wurde befallen und ich plage mich nun mit dem Problem. Sehr schade, denn an sich war das Hostel sauber und schön, in einer tollen Lage.

Very nice hostel with cool vibes for a more laid back traveller not as into the party scene. Nice spacious rooms and cool building. Unfortunately there were bed bugs in one of the beds we had booked and the sheets were visibly dirty. The top bunk also lacked proper railings so if you don't have a bunk up against a wall as we didn't, it can feel a little dodgy! Overall a mostly positive experience except for the bed bugs.

ControVento Hostel está en un edificio histórico de piso alto en el centro de Trieste, cerca del waterfront, restaurantes, bares, el corso y conexiones de bus. El diseño es una parte real de la estancia: habitaciones coloridas, techos altos, vistas al mar o a la marina en algunas habitaciones, y un lounge acogedor con libros, revistas, juegos y espacio para trabajar. El lounge/zona de trabajo y la cocina son los puntos prácticos más fuertes. El Wi-Fi funciona bien para rato de laptop, el desayuno está incluido, y la cocina suele estar bien equipada, con lavavajillas y básicos suficientes para comidas simples. La atmósfera tira a calmada, artística y de escala pequeña más que a caos fiestero total, aunque la vida nocturna de la ciudad está justo afuera. El servicio del staff suele ser cálido y útil, y el lugar a menudo está limpio, con dorms espaciosos, lockers, cubículos, puntos de carga junto a camas en algunas habitaciones, guardado de bicis y entrega ocasional de equipaje después del checkout. Encaja mejor si quieres acceso a Trieste, un edificio antiguo con carácter y una sala común relajada más que un sleep pod pulido.
Señales a revisar
- No hay ascensor, y el hostel queda arriba de una escalera seria que puede ser dura con bolsos pesados.
- Pisos que crujen, paredes finas, ruido de pasillo y bares cercanos pueden hacer frágil el sueño, especialmente para quienes duermen liviano.
- El verano puede ser caluroso porque el aire acondicionado es limitado o inexistente, y los mosquitos pueden ser un problema con ventanas abiertas.
- Las literas superiores pueden sentirse altas e incómodas, y las camas de dorm pueden no tener cortinas de privacidad.
- Baños y duchas pueden sentirse estrechos, limitados o incómodos en horas de mucha ocupación.
- Los problemas de chinches han aparecido más de una vez, incluidos casos recientes.
- Algunas fallas serias de servicio involucran llaves, acceso nocturno, reservas y manejo de política de mascotas.
