I think we got bed bugs from the hostel.The shared areaby the reception was potentially very nice, but it was filthy. The bin was overflowing and rubbish was on the floor. Considering how well run the restaurant was- good food and lovely staff -I was a bit taken aback!

The bed was fairly uncomfortable and small. I stayed on the bottom bunk, and anytime the person above me shifted, the whole bed would shake as well. The guests that I stayed with were not the nicest, but that’s not the hostels fault.

Saucy Mary’s es básicamente una parada práctica en Skye: buena ubicación en la entrada de la isla, estacionamiento fácil, vistas al mar y un pub/restaurante al lado. Funciona bien para una noche o dos sencillas mientras te mueves por la isla. El personal suele dar una impresión amable y servicial, y la comida recibe bastante crédito. Las habitaciones son básicas y el lugar se siente old-school más que pulido, pero para viajeros que valoran más la conveniencia que los extras de confort, cumple.
Señales a revisar
- Las habitaciones y baños suelen ser básicos, y el baño puede estar fuera de la habitación o al final del pasillo.
- La cocina compartida y las instalaciones comunes pueden sentirse muy limitadas para el precio.
- El ruido, los interiores gastados y el mantenimiento general pueden ser duros.
