Confirmed Booking.com
I like the fact that this made me understand that booking.com has no value to our requests and feedback so you are at the mercy of the hotel manager who has no customer supportskills

Possible Google Maps
Actualmente la limpieza del hotel deja mucho que desear. No es posible recomendarlo. Ya que tuve una mala experiencia con dos pasajeros, se encontraron con chinches en las camas y la limpieza de la habitación no es la óptima.

I feel sorry for the guy but people need to know. My entire body is covered in bed bug bites, they managed to get in my bags so unfortunately I have probably transferred them to other hostels/hotels and now I will have to throw away everything I own and buy new. This turned out to be a very expensive experience I hope others can avoid. Sorry to the owner but he should not lie about this issue to his customers, best to be honest until you get the situation repaired and let the people know what the risks are until all problems are resolved. I am surprised he has not been sued yet for health and property materials lost due to infestation.

HORRIBLE hotel! Bed bugs in my room! bitten all over my back and arms! when reported first thing in the morning, i was told my the older gentleman on reception i should have told them in the middle of the night at reception once i felt the bites. i didn't know for sure what it was in the night because i was half asleep! it was only in the morning i noticed the bites all over me! which i reported FIRST thing once i woke up... No compassion from the gentleman on reception, and i quote when i asked if there was anything he could do for me.... " did you spend the night in the room? " i replied yes, then i can't refund or do anything for you....wow! it was actual laughable. i was really disappointed in the service from this gentleman, clearly has no experience in customer service. I'm not usually one to leave reviews but i feel this needed to be reported.

Vibe Analysis
The rooftop terrace is the best part of Check Inn B&B Cuenca: wide city views, breakfast in the open air, and a useful perch above the old center. The location is very central, close to the main plaza, shops, cafes, pharmacies, restaurants, and walkable Cuenca sightseeing. The building has an old-school feel, including a vintage elevator, but the practical setup is very basic. Rooms may be sparse, dated, dark, or missing outside windows, and bathrooms are shared rather than private. In parts of the building, reaching the toilet or shower can mean going to another floor. Breakfast is included but small and repetitive: usually bread, banana, egg, and tea or coffee. Luggage storage and laundry may be available, and the bathrooms are sometimes kept clean, but comfort is uneven. This is not a strong pick for sleep-sensitive or comfort-focused stays. Wooden floors, thin walls, street noise, corridor noise, and shaky or uncomfortable beds are recurring problems. Hot water, Wi-Fi, kitchen equipment, cleanliness, payment handling, and staff attitude can also be inconsistent.
Signals to check
- Shared bathrooms may be far from the room or on another floor.
- Noise can be a major issue from the street, corridors, wooden floors, and nearby rooms.
- Beds and pillows may be uncomfortable or worn.
- Hot water and Wi-Fi may be unreliable.
- Breakfast is included but very basic and small.
- Card payment, refunds, towel access, and staff help may not be straightforward.
